The AVARTS Live Game Hub is an initiative that aims to bring together new game designers and creators and showcase their ideas to the public. It is organized by faculty members of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts with a coordinating core consisting of Vasilis Komianos, Barbara Garneli, and Emmanouil Rovithis, and staffed by students actively involved in game creation. The focus is on the design and process of play, connecting new designers with people eager to play together and exchange ideas that will make the games more interesting and fun.
This year, the main theme concerns board games developed by students of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of Ionian University, along with digital and augmented reality games.
The event will take place in the Garden of the People on Wednesday, May 29, and Thursday, May 30, from 15:00 to 20:00, aiming to attract students, children, residents, visitors, and tourists of Corfu who wish to enjoy their time through entertainment and information.
