Workshop on the project “Digital Navigation Guide using Augmented Reality and Holograms” with scientific supervisor Associate Professor I. Deligiannis

December 14, 2021

How many people know the elements that compose the UNESCO monument of the Old Town of Corfu?

How can we, instead of just offering information virtually to the user, bring visitors to these elements so they can explore and interact with them through technologies that provide “superhuman” capabilities?

How do holograms, photogrammetry and videogrammetry modeling, 360-degree videos, augmented reality, games, and well-documented content come together to form a projection system of the monument that motivates and opens new possibilities for exploration?

All answers will be given by experts on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, between 17:15-19:00 at the amphitheater of the Department of History of the Ionian University (I. Theotoki 72, Corfu).

The educational workshop presenting the innovative technologies implemented in the project “Digital Navigation Guide using Augmented Reality and Holograms,” with scientific supervisor Associate Professor Ioannis Deligiannis, is organized by the Interactive Arts Research Laboratory (inArts) of the Department of Sound and Image Arts of the Ionian University.

The event will be broadcast online via Zoom at https://ionio-gr.zoom.us/j/91465382105, with limited in-person attendance requiring an email to hologramscorfu@gmail.com (proof of vaccination or recovery required at entry).
